Hello and welcome! Thank you for visiting ShoshMo Designs, a textile art studio. Take your time and look around, and if you see something you like or have questions, please hop over to the contact page to get in touch.
I have been sewing for quite some time and have created everything from quilts, garments, and home decorating projects. Eventually, the different sewing techniques I learned over the years combined with a few art history classes melded together as a fabric art form.
Heavy duty fabrics are my medium of choice . I use duck cloth and canvas most often but also use fabrics leftover from other sewing projects. Recycled fabrics from draperies , and denim as also work well.
My work is inspired by drip painting except I use stitches instead of paint. You will see that I also like to stitch birch trees. I love these trees for their quiet, unassuming uniqueness.
